A Method for Driving Virtual Model with Test Data

A new method is presented on how to simulate a virtual model driven by test data. ADAMS will be used to construct a virtual model according to a real object in the virtual environment. Then test data which reflects the motion of the real object will be imported to the virtual model in order to drive the virtual model to act as if the real object does. An example of a ball under the influence of both gravity and outer force is given. With the method of importing test data the virtual model of the ball can be driven successfully. We can see how the ball will move in the virtual environment so as to prove the validity and the feasibility of this method.
