Ultra-wideband antenna design using the Green's function method (GFM) ABC with genetic algorithm

The authors' goal is to design a semi-conical ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna mounted over an infinite ground plane, such that the ratio between the principal maximum of the transmitted pulse and its temporal sidelobes would be maximized. To this end, we make use of a genetic algorithm (GA) as the optimization procedure, coupled with the the Yee version of the FDTD method as the mathematical model.
