Research of new deflection routing in OBS networks

Optical burst Switching(OBS)is considered as one of core technologies for next generation optical switching networks.The primary goal to design OBS network is to reduce burst loss probability.The main method to resolve contention is optical buffering,wavelength converter,deflection routing and burst segmentation in OBS.An improved deflection routing method is proposed and a mathematical model is developed. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme can effectively improve the burst loss performance of the entire networks.
