Performance comparison of ICM channel estimation with interpolations in OFDM/OQAM system

In OFDM/OQAM system, channel estimation is an important and a hard part in frequency selective fading channel. ICM is an efficient estimation method since its little pilot symbols and good estimation accuracy. The channel frequency response of non-pilot symbol can be obtained by interpolation and different interpolation methods have different influence on performance of system. In this paper, different types of interpolation methods are simulated including direct, poly and domain transform interpolation, with different pilot intervals. The simulation result shows that there is little different about NMSE and BER performance among the interpolation methods with small interval. Conversely, when the interval becomes larger, the NMSE and BER performance of the interpolation methods gets worse quickly, but domain transform interpolation can still hold accuracy compared with other interpolation methods.
