Colorado Technical University, with four campuses, offers Software Engineering education at the undergraduate, Masters’ and Doctoral levels. The programs are highly focused on the customers, both the students and the companies that employ them. Thus, classes are offered at night and on weekends. Master’s courses are given in an intensive five and a half week format so that students can concentrate on one course at a time. The Master’s level curriculum has evolved from the SEI curriculum. The Doctoral program, which results in a Doctor of Computer Science degree, is geared toward students with substantial software development experience. While the scientific method is stressed, topics are typically more applied than in traditional Computer Science programs.
