블라인드 설치에 따른 아트리움의 냉방에너지 저감에 관한 연구

The atrium in the building has many advantages including its aesthetic and functional effect. But the atrium has the thermal problem of overheating due to insolation through the window. Fully glazed facade causes higher cooling energy consumption and thermal discomfort due to higher solar gain. This study examines the effects of the presence of a blind on the thermal performance of a window. The blind is positioned adjacent to the skylight of the atrium. The results show that the presence of a blind improves the cooling energy performance of a double glazed window. The blind reduces transmitted solar energy, window heat gain energy. The improved understanding of the benefits of blinds may lead to better designs of window/shading systems.
