As parts of long-stator LSM and for good riding quality, it is important to construct Maglev guideway to a high accuracy. In case of a beam type guideway, we have succeeded in three steps of highly accurate construction which are production of the beam in the field factory, production of the shoe in-place and erection of the beam. The maximum camber of beam is 2 mm (.08 in), the maximum error of shoe height is approximately 2 mm (.08 in), and the maximum shoe gradient error is 1/500. The average final irregularity of line is -0.5 mm (-.02 in) and the standard deviation is 1.6 mm (.064 in). In all steps of construction, allowable error values are almost satisfied.
