Analysis of single carrier offset-stacked OCC-CDMA system with Rake receiver

This article presents a single carrier synchronized OCC-CDMA system architecture utilizing offset-stacked spreading modulation and Rake receiver. The proposed system has the following properties: no multipath interference (MI) or multi-access interference (MAI), flexible data rate variation, accurate channel estimation and having multipath diversity gain. In this article, a mathematical expression is derived for bit error rate (BER) in multipath slowly fading channel conditions, those factors having impact on the BER performance are revealed and analyzed. Our work provides guidance for the system design and parameter optimization.
