8-Channel WDM Optical Interconnect Device Using Add-Drop Multiplexers Integrated in a Thin-Film Waveguide

Eight-channel thin-film-waveguide WDM optical interconnect device with free-space-wave add-drop multiplexers consisting of focusing grating couplers (FGCs) and distributed Bragg reflectors was demonstrated for the first time by improvement of the FGC coupling efficiency.
