The Investigations on Selected Dynamical Phenomena in the Heads of Multi-Coordinate Measuring Devices

The analysis of the dynamical phenomena occuring in the swith-over heads is the condition necessary to define the dynamical errors of the heads. Up to now such an analysis has not been carried out profoundly. Therefore the model of the dynamical phenomena accompanying the process of touching the measuring points has been presented in the work. The main sources of the dynamical errors are here deformations related to the impact character of the contact of the measuring end with the measured object and the phenomena accompanying the process of clenching and unclenching the contacts. In the work the oscillograph records of the measuring end movement obtained for different conditions of their work, as well as the voltage oscillations necessary to define the time of deceleration of the contacts opening, have been presented. The dynamical errors caused by the above causes find their reflection in the characteristics of the measuring heads and that is why they have been inserted in the paper.
