OpTiX-II: A Software Environment for MCDM based on Distributed and Parallel Computing

The aim of this contribution is to provide an introduction to the OpTiX-II Software Environment. This software system supports nonsequential solution approaches for so-called multidisciplinary decision problems based on nonlinear optimization tasks (eg. [1]). The underlying mathematical programming problem can be formulated as follows: find an n-dimensional vector x = (XV ...,xn)TE RN that minimizes f ( x ) : R N R subject to the constraints g. ( J C ) = o, g . ( J C ) where gk ( J C ) :Rn –“ R (i = 1,..., me; j = m e+l , ..., m; k = 1 , m ) .
