EHF systems architectures for a broadband indoor wireless LAN and LMCS are described in this paper. The system architectures employ millimeter wave circuitry of medium complexity for switched beam arrays at a base station and portable unit (for indoor wireless LAN) and for full duplex, asymetrical, point to multipoint transceivers (for LMCS). Further the architectures employ novel “crank wave launcher with directors” microstrip antennas (for indoor wireless LAN) and dielectric resonator antennas (for LMCS).
