Wavelength tuning characteristics of widely tunable distributed forward- and backward-coupling semiconductor laser

A distributed forward- and backward-coupling (DFBC) semiconductor laser for wide wavelength tuning is proposed and analyzed. A 4/spl times/4 F-matrix method is established in order to pursue numerical simulation. As a result, over 100: nm tuning around 1.55 /spl mu/m by simple injection current control, scheme is predicted.<<ETX>>
