Le procede therapeutique decrit sert a supprimer ou a empecher l'infection de leucocytes par l'HIV (virus de l'immunodeficience humaine) chez un individu qui a ete expose a l'HIV ou infecte par l'HIV. Un tel procede peut etre utilise dans le traitement de maladies telles que le SIDA (syndrome d'immunodeficience acquise) qui est due a l'HIV.
