Analysis and Prospect on Technical Approaches for Low Carbon Power Grid

In view of increasingly severe energy environment issues,urgent requirements on low carbon development of electric power sector are put forward.As an important department in electric power sector,power network enterprises are faced with serious challenges.In this paper a novel idea on low carbon power grid is expounded,and the potential of power grid to cope with their low carbon development is analyzed;in five aspects,namely low carbon equipment renewal of power grid,low carbon operation and control of power grid,low carbon planning of power grid,low carbon mechanism for power grid and low carbon energy consumption patterns,the technical approaches to realize low carbon power grid are emphatically summarized and presented.According to actual conditions of Guangdong power grid,concrete technical direction of low carbon development for power network enterprises are proposed,and several key technologies for low carbon power grid are dissected and prospected,and quantitative analysis on their technical maturity and economy is performed and related suggestions on low carbon development of power grid are given.
