A CASE REPORT OF ADVANCED BREAST CANCER TREATED WITH WIDE LOCAL RESECTION AND OMENTAL FLAP

We report an advanced breast cancer infiltrating into the axillar area in a 38-year-old woman. The patient who had noticed a right breast tumor 5 years ago visited our hospital complaining of enlargement of the mass at the right breast with the right arm swollen and hardened severely. Venography showed that this tumor infiltrated into the axillar vessels, and bone scincigram revealed metastasis to the right 3rd, 4th and 5th ribs. By CAF treatments for 7 courses associated with hormone and immunotherapy, this tumor was reduced remarkably, and then operation was performed. Excision of wide locality and chest wall, and reconstruction using Lesin covered with dermal flap, omental flap and mesh skin graft were carried out. Histological examination showed invasive ductal adenocarcinoma, solid tubular type. This patient is doing well 9 months after surgery.
