Quantitative Project Management in Small and Medium-sized Software Enterprises

Taking into account that small and medium enterprises make up 99.85% of businesses, it is vital that they implement the processes involved in project management. Although there are process models and tools that cover project management, they are generally oriented to larger enterprises. So it is necessary to adapt them to the particular necessities of small and medium-sized software enterprises. To ease an effectively support these tasks, the FQPMSE is proposed: a framework for achieving quantitative project management in small and medium-sized enterprises. Finally, experimentation results are provided through the FQPMSE implementation in three software companies.
