Modeling and control of a benchmark micro grid with vehicle-to-grid smart connection

Recently, smart grid is attracted much attention from both the electric power engineering and control engineering. However, the research activities reported in both of the academic fields focused on the power demand management problem without proper problem formulation from the view control theory. This paper provides a challenging of control problem formulation in smart grid. A benchmark system will be given which involves electric vehicles-to-grid connection, and using the benchmark system, a simulation strategy to describe the V2G influence is proposed. Finally, a frequency stabilizing control design problem is investigated with stochastic control theory.
