Extending Z for Object-oriented Specifications

Object-Z, an extension of the Z specification notation, provides improved mechanisms for structuring large specifications by combining state and operation schemas into a single construct, the class. The paper describes the nature of the extension and provides a case-study to demonstrate the benefits of this approach.
