High resolution field desorption mass spectrometry by peak matching

We have used peak matching to accurately determine the molecular masses of field desorbed ions. A major advantage over high resolution photoplate recording is that it reduces analysis time without reducing accuracy or sensitivity. Molecular ions of nonvolatile and thermally labile compounds can be mass measured by this technique.
