Development of a Lightweight Knowledge Based Design System as a Business Asset to Support Advanced Fixture and Tooling Design

This paper introduces and describes a continuing programme of work initiated between Rolls-Royce plc and the University of Southampton to create a Knowledge Based System, intended to reduce the demand on currently limited specialist resource and to facilitate future business growth.
