OPTIMAL URBAN FORMS OF LINEAR CITIES INCLUDING HIERARCHICAL SPATIAL STRUCTURE WITH CONSIDERATION OF FLOOR HEIGHT: －Compared to the case without consideration of floor height－@@@－階高を考慮しない場合と比較して－

This article developed a method to obtain optimum urban forms minimizing the travel cost from each point to the central district center with consideration of fl oor height. The calculation and comparison with the conventional model without consideration of fl oor height showed the following results. The optimum urban forms are similar when only the total fl oor area changes. When the fl oor height is considered, the height of the city is lower, the distance between the district centers is larger, and the population accessing the central district center directly increases. However, the highest heights of the two city models are almost same.
