Introducing Technology into Process Appraisals

This paper describes a research project within the Centre for Software Process Technologies (CSPT) that aims to improve the effectiveness of software process appraisals by introducing technology. The introduction of technology assists with some of the more manual and time-consuming tasks that are performed by assessment teams. We describe how this may be achieved by introducing a speech recognition and parsing system into process assessments.
