Design of the hybrid power filter based on rapid control prototyping

A kind of rapid control prototyping based on traditional power filter was proposed to decrease the long cycle and high investment of digital controller in the treatment of the power system.It presented the design method of the hybrid active power filter using computer-aided software(Simulink) and TI DSP development environment(CCS) that lowered the harmonics precisely.The simulation result showed that the voltage distortion factor dropped to 1.88%(which is lower than the IEEE-519-1992 standard) when the current go through the grid.The device has been carry into execution on the electric arc furnace in 35 kV substation in Wuhan Company of iron and steel,the results show the device has well engineering application value with high reliability and remarkable filtering effects.
