Different models of the SRM in state space format for the sensorless control using a Kalman filter

This paper presents different ways to realise the sensorless control of the Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) with a Kalman Filter. Several models of the SRM are set up. All models are in the state space format and take magnetic non-linearity into account. Experimental results taken from a test bench with a DSP TMS320C40 and a fractional horse power 8/6 SRM are shown.
