Constructive feedback: Key to higher performance and commitment

Abstract In the search for competitive advantage, organizations must maximize the performance of both processes and people. Harnessing the knowledge, skills and ideas of all employees via feedback can be significant in achieving this advantage. Those organizations which have developed effective feedback systems have seen substantial benefits. Although the individual feedback mechanisms such as attitude surveys have been studied, feedback—what it is, how it can benefit the organization and how to obtain it—has not been addressed. This study aims to fill the gap and give practical help to management who wish to improve organizational performance via feedback.
