Modelling of DC linked PV/hydro hybrid system for rural electrification

Keeping in view electrification of rural area this paper deals with modeling and simulation of DC linked PV/hydro hybrid system interfaced with RLC Load. A PV system and Micro-hydro system is connected in parallel with grid system and this is called Hybrid energy system and is interfaced with RLC Load. PV/hydro hybrid system acting as a dominant source power to the community primarily is supplied by this source. The DC bus of the hybrid system is interlinked for cost reduction and lesser complexity of present system as compared to the AC linked hybrid system. Difficulty found in the hybrid system will be compensated by power grid. It will also anticipate the uncertainty of weather and fulfill the power demand during the peak hours. The resistive, resistive-intuctive and inductive(motor), capacitive (if any) load requirements will be fulfilled by the proposed system. Through results it can be demonstrated that electric power can supplied efficiently to theremcte community with proposed system.
