Circuitry to provide desktop functionality for telecommunications terminals in computer-based telecommunications

The invention relates to a circuit for providing desktop functions to a telecommunication terminal in computer-aided telecommunications. The invention aims at providing flexible desktop functions both to the users of fixed telecommunication terminals such as telephones (1) and the users of Internet telephones (18; 21). According to the invention, this is achieved by a basic circuit consisting of an intelligent telecommunication facility (2) having links to a public telephone network (3) that is connected to an integration element (7). A computer system (8) is connected to the integration element (7) by means of a LAN (5). In order to ensure technical functions, a Web server (15) is connected to the LAN (5). In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, a transition element (19) that is preferably integrated into the intelligent telecommunication facility (2) is additionally connected to the LAN (5). The transition element (19) is particularly intended for links with different networks (gateway).
