Vibration signals are the carrier of fast information in tactile communication.The research on mechanism of tactile discrimination of vibrating frequency can guide the design of tactile communication.13 subjects had been trained to distinguish the frequency of vibration signals with tactile sense for six months.The results showed that the tactile sense depended on period difference to distinguish vibration signals,whose discrimination was completed in the pallium.The minimum period difference that can be distinguished was 1 ms.The highest frequency of vibration signals that can be distinguished were 250~322 Hz,and the shortest duration of the signal was 0.2 s.
