Timestamp processing method and device

The embodiment of the invention discloses a timestamp processing method applied to an MAC layer. The method comprises the steps of receiving a first message and obtaining a data frame and timestamp control information of the data frame from the first message, wherein the first message is a PTP event message; switching the working frequency of the data frame from an MAC clock domain to a PCS clockdomain, wherein the MAC clock domain is the clock domain of the data frame when working in the MAC layer; obtaining current local time of data when the data frame starts working in the PCS clock domain; updating a current correction domain of the data frame based on the timestamp control information and the current local time; and updating the updated current correction domain to the data frame and sending the updated data frame to the PCS layer.
