Achievement & GIS Spatial interpolation operation using COM and spatial database technology

An interpolation routine solving the spatial interpolation problem is introduced when carrying out a further development of GIS in GeoMedia environment.It is based on the inverse distance weighting(IDW) method and COM technology.The program is developed on the basis of GeoMedia component objects and spatial database to archieve the spatial interpolation operation in GeoMedia environment.The system made the conversion of vector to raster at the same time.The application result indicates that the programme is reliable in the Spatial Distribute System of Groundwater Level in Hebei Province.
