As a new type of instant communication software,"Wechat(micro-message)" has the features of simple operation,supporting for group chat,adding friends easily,and real-time intercom functions. The criminal suspects take it as a "new tool" in the implementation of fraud,theft,robbery,rape and blackmail. The suspects and the victims are all younger. For the suspects,the targets are easy to find in cyber space; the cost is low; and it is easy to find time,locations and to commit the crimes,and easy to conceal. The investigation organs should strengthen the propaganda and supervision,and accelerate the information-based construction to cope with these crimes. With the reduction of traditional "audio chat","short messages" and QQ,Wechat has an impact on the detective work,leading to the change of detection idea. It could server the actual combat in investigation work.The investigators can make use of it in mobile phone judgment,phone numbers searching,images comparison,location,and camouflage investigation.
