Key Techniques for Structural Design and Construction of a Super High-rise Building Project

This project is composed of two independent towers: the north tower and the south tower. The north tower has a large span steel truss structure from its 10 th story to its 25 th story. The novel and complicated structure system brings a lot of challenges to structural design and construction,which includes wind load induced structural vibration,the safety of the cantilever steel structure,and the reliability of the joint that connects the steel structure and the concrete structure. In order to solve these problems,analyses and research have been conducted. This paper introduces these studies,including performance based seismic design,vibration analyses,construction process simulation,structural monitoring of the cantilever steel structure,FEA and monitoring of the joint zone,and wind tunnel tests.
