Experimental Investigation on Performance of Separation Heat Pipe Using R22 as Working Liquid at Low Heat Flux

In this paper,a separation heat pipe using R22 as working liquid was studied. Its heat transfer performance was studied by a series of experiments with heat flux from 1 kW/m2 to 5 kW/m2,working temperature from 30℃ to 60℃ and gradient of evaporation end from 10°to 90°.The effect on heat transfer performance caused by heat flux, gradient and liquid-filled ratio of evaporation end was deeply investigated. The results showed that this heat pipe has good capability of start-up,and the reasonal liquid-filled ratio is 80%~100%.Within the scope of testing parameters, heat flux, gradient and liquid-filled ratio of evaporation end had little influence on its heat transfer performance.
