Performance Evaluation of CAZAC Sequence Based Channel Estimation for MIMO HR-WPAN System

The 4-phase constant amplitude zero autocorrelation (CAZAC) sequence is one of the well known training sequences for estimating the channel state information (CSI). However, there is a limitation to use it for multiple input multiple output (MIMO) system because of its length. In this paper, we present an algorithm that generates length-free 4-phase CAZAC sequences. Therefore, proper length of training sequences can be made according to the system and channel conditions. IEEE 802.15.3 high rate wireless personal area network (HRWPAN) system that uses multiple antennas is employed to verify and evaluate the performance of generated sequence.
