Centralised Link-State Routing in ZRP

Zone routing protocol (ZRP) is a hybrid MANET protocol. ZRP combines between the proactive routing approach and the reactive approach. The network in ZRP is divided into several zones, where the proactive is applied within each zone. Outside the routing zone, the reactive approach is used. In this paper, a development to ZRP protocol based centralised intra-zone routing is proposed. The proposed concept replaces the proactive protocol in the routing zone by a new technique, where the central node in each zone provides the routing information for the intra-zone traffic. This development enhances the ZRP performance by reducing the overhead traffic control messages and distributing the data traffic in the network evenly
