Workshop on Linking CGE and TIMES Models : Lessons Learned and Next Steps

The Centre for Energy Policy (CEP) and the Fraser of Allander Institute (FAI), at the University of Strathclyde organised a full day workshop (8th November 2016) dedicated to the topic of potential links between multi-sector computable general equilibrium (CGE) economic system model and The Integrated MARKAL-EFOM2 System (TIMES) energy system models. The workshop brought together experts in energy system and economic modelling to explore the challenges and opportunities of linking these types of model more closely. The purpose of this document is to outline key outcomes of the workshop.
