Improved variable step-size affine projection algorithm with row-weighted projection matrix

To address the potential ill-condition problem of weighted projection matrix in the variable step-size affine projection algorithm(VS-APA) with forgetting factors(VS-APA-FF),the regulated VS-APA-FF-REGU algorithm is proposed,but the weighted projection matrix still involves large amount of calculation.So an improved VS-APA with row-weighted projection matrix(VS-APA-RW) is proposed to simplify the calculation of the weighted projection matrix;at the same time,a variable step-size with interim updating is adopted to reduce the total calculation effectively.Performance of the proposed algorithm is verified by the simulation of blind channel identification in colored input.
