Persistent awareness coverage with maximum coverage frequency for mobile sensor networks

The problem of persistent awareness coverage with maximum coverage frequency for mobile sensor networks is addressed in this paper. The goal is to guarantee full awareness coverage of all points of interests and persistent coverage of the whole mission domain with maximum coverage frequency. Given a closed path, it is proved that persistent awareness coverage with maximum coverage frequency can be achieved by optimizing the sensors' traveling speed and initial locations on the path. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is illustrated via a simulation example.
