Optimization design of structure of body-in-white based on the sensitivity analysis

The body is a very important assembly of an automotive,whose mechanical characteristics are largely dependent on the structure of its body.Through the modal analysis of the body in white,its stiffness can be investigated,and the sensitivity analysis of its structure can be conducted so that the structure can be optimized.In this paper the finite element model of the body frame of a certain car is established to discuss how the change of the cover panel thickness of the car body influences the first class frequencies and to make the sensitivity analysis.The sensitive panels are obtained through the sensitivity analysis.Then the optimization analysis is performed with the optimization object of increasing the first class frequency so as to enhance the strength of the body in white.
