Comparison between the Test Methods for the Measurement of the Gel Content in XLPE Insulation Compounds

The gel content in XLPE insulation compounds in now measured in accordance with the industry standard JB/T 10437:2004,inwhich two test methods are specified.In this paper these two test methods were used to make comparison.The test results of these two test methods were analysed,compared with and assessed and suggestions were put forward.
