Taking one sandstone reservoir as an example, the effect of well completion ways on critical pressure differential and well productivity in sandstone reservoir has been studied by triaxial elasto-plasticity finite element model for sand prediction. The result shows that critical pressure differential of oil wells with different completion ways is 10MP, 6MPa and 4MPa respectively. The perforation hole along parallel with the direction of σH2 is the most unstable. If this kind of holes can be avoided when orientation perforation been used, the critical pressure differential of oil wells completed with this way can be increased to 9MP and 5MPa compared with the frontal screwed perforation way. By comparing the productivity of oil wells with the above three completion, open hole is accepted as higher productivity with lower pressure differential. As the formation stone has low intensity and sand production is easily gone, in order to march the productivity command, the completion with sand control tools down in open hole is needed.
