Optimization of structural forms in Bridges

Optimization of structural forms in bridges has often confirmed doubts that traditional methods have not always come up with best solutions. In this paper two optimizations are shown: new method of selecting an optimum axis for the bridge arch ond the optimization of a working joint position when building concrete bridges using field-by-field method.
