Solving strongly singular integral equations by Lp approximation methods

It has previously been shown that integral equations can be solved effectively by means of an L"p approximation technique (and particularly by means of an L"1 approximation). This method has also successfully been applied to singular integral equations. In the present discussion attention is paid to solving strongly singular integral equations via L"p approximation techniques, and in particular to the case of integral equations containing Hadamard (or finite-part) integrals.
