An energy-efficient stacked WDM-OFDM-PON system with adaptive rate modulation

A stacked WDM-OFDM-PON downlink transmission is experimentally demonstrated with adaptive-rate from 1.25Gbps, 2.5Gbps, 5Gbps to 10Gbps per wavelength. 25%~49% and 12%~20% of the power can be saved for ONU and OLT when using adaptive-rate modulation.
