Magnetic Resonance Imaging of Cellulite Depressed Lesions Successfully Treated by Subcision

Subcision, a very simple surgical technique, was first described for the treatment ofwrinkles, scars, and other skin depressions. In 1997, Hexsel andMazzuco first described this technique for the specific treatment of cellulite depressed lesions through severing the underlying fibrous septa. Subcision has been reported as an efficacious treatment of cellulite depressed lesions. In this study, the authors present a 7-month follow-up of cellulite depressed lesions treated with subcision, showing clinical and MRI results.
