ANALYSIS OF THE DILATOMETER TEST IN UNDRAINED CLAY

In this paper, a theoretical treatment of the dilatometer test in undrained clays is presented. Results of a series of numerical analyses have been used to develop an interpretation of the field test, that is not based on empiricism but on the rigorous application of an elastoplastic soil model to the behaviour of undrained clay soils.
