Social, Psychological and Artistic Aspects of the Human Interface

Human interface is defined as technologies for supporting human communications and, therefore, it has close relation with other areas concerning human communications. In this paper, the basic concept of human interface is examined and it is pointed out that interdisciplinary research between engineering and social, psychological, and artistic areas should be carried out for the development of future human interface technology. Also several examples of this type of research are described.
