Entropy generation analysis of heat and mass transfer in mixed electrokinetically and pressure driven flow through a slit microchannel

The entropy generation analysis of heat and mass transfer in a slit microchannel is performed in this study. The flow is assumed to be due to a combination of the electroosmotic body force and the pressure gradient. A fully developed flow with uniform flux at the surface is considered in the analysis. Analytical solutions for velocity, temperature and concentration fields are obtained and then the gradients of these fields are utilized in the entropy generation analysis. The results are presented graphically and discussed in detail.
