Means for receiving and / or transmitting communication and / or navigation signals

The invention relates to a device for receiving and/or transmitting communications and/or navigation data. The inventive device is integrated into a present illumination infrastructure by being allocated to a lighting means for instance or by being accommodated in an intermediate component (5) that is provided between the lighting means (10) and the holder (13) thereof. The device for receiving and/or transmitting can also be configured as a transponder which is accommodated in the lighting means. Thus, the device for receiving and/or transmitting as well as the transponder are always operative because said device and said transponder are always supplied with sufficient electrical energy. Data can be exchanged via current conductions and by means of appropriated transmission methods by virtue of the cable-bound energy supply. A control unit is additionally provided at, in or close to the transponder (4') when the lighting means is operated in an intermitting manner. The control unit is used for switching the lighting means (10) on or off. Furthermore, an energy storage device can be allocated to the transponder (4') or a solar cell arrangement representing an energy source can be connected. The spiralled glow-wire (12) of a lighting means in the form of an incandescent lamp can be used as an antenna of the device (4) for receiving and/or transmitting.
